When Wind Ninja Academy were attacked by Lother and his army arrives on Earth to capture all Ninja students, but only three students of the Wind Ninja Academy (Shane, Dustin and Tori), Sensei Kanoi Watanabe, whom he was turned into a guinea pig by Lother, and his son Cameron. Sensei Watanabe decide this is the time Shane, Dustin and Tori would become Wind Power Rangers.

Little did they know, Lother had found out two of the Thunder Ninja Academy students, Blake and Hunter Bradley, where given their Thunder power by Sensei Omino, Lother had convinced them that Sensei Watanabe of Wind Ninja Academy who had killed their adopted parent, but later their parent's spirit, at the location of the powerful Gem of Souls, reveal Lother who had killed them, Lother tried to destroy the Rangers, Hunter block his attack with the Gem of Soul, it had broke into pieces, Cam had thrown them into the ocean, unknown to Cam and the rest of the group, Hunter had secretly kept some of the pieces in hoping to contact his parents. Although Blake and Hunter did not join the Wind Ninja at once, in time they become apart of the Wind Ninja team.

When the Rangers lost their powers to Madtropolis, which he drain the Rangers power, Cam have to go back in time by using Scroll of Time to find the power source to help the Ranger to gain their power back. In the past, Cam meet his younger version of his parent, discovering his mother possessed a green amulet with special powers, as well Lother was also his uncle, then name Kiya. When Cam farmed from stealing the green amulet, Kanoi had proven it isn't him but Kiya, who was power-hungey, that tired to steal it, and was banishment from the Academy, which Kiya took on the name of Lother, with his mother's blessing, Cam went back to the present with the amulet and used to moprth into the Green Samurai Ranger. While being a Ranger and also helping others, he had little time to do other thing, he had created a virtual version of himself, Cyber-Cam to take over the day-to-day running of dojo.

In the final episodes of the series, the Rangers decovered it is the death of monsters had played in Lother's plan, to fill the Abyss of Evil, which monsters spirits gone to. With Cam capture, and the amulet stolen from him, Sensei turned back into his human form and their dojo destroyed, Lother had maded the Abyss overflow, to released the generals and armies once again, free to destroy the world. Although their power were drain of their Ranger's power by Lother using the stolen Amulet, Shane, Dustin and Tori use their inner powers to send him and his amy to the Abyss of Evil and sealing it. Once they had earned the Badge of Honor, to graduate from the Wind Ninja Academy, Tori, Shane and Dustin becomes teachers at the Wind Ninja Academy, aided by Cam, Hunter become the head teacher at Thunder Ninja Academy, Blake continued his (motocross) racing career.

The following year, after Lother manage to climbs out of Abyss of Evil, captive his twin brother, Sensei Watanabe, he brainwash Shane, Dustin, and Tori to donning the Wind Morphers again, which made them evil, with them, they captures the students once more and made alliance with Mesogog. Hayley & Tommy, notice re-opened Abyss which the spreading of evil, sent the three main Dinio Thunder Rangers to try and stop them, but not destroy them but are beaten by the evil WInd Rangers. Cam realise what was happening, he call upon Blake, whom is competing in a Motocross tournament at Reefside, and Hunter about the current situation regarding their old teammates and head into Abyss of Evil to retrieve their stolen powers, but ran into some trouble, Blake nearly fall into the depths but saved with the help of Sensei. The three Ninja Rangers bottle with the three DinoThunder Ranger in an unmorphed showdown, when Ninja Ranger, though seems no one going to win, were about to morphed, Cam, Blake and Hunter show up on cure, given them their true Power disc, which cause breaking the spell. The two team combined forces, including Trent and Tommy, to fight Lother's and Mesogog's armies, after the Rangers won the battle, they discovered Ninja Storm Rangers' powers have only enough energy for one last battle, leaving the Dinio Thunder to carry on, leaving Winds, Thunders and Samurai Ranger live their normal life.
